Eric Zekorn, Sebastian Labora, Aidan Marcano, Ty Hollingsworth, Josh Valent, Samuel Tuccillo, Carlos Quintero, Matthew Franzoi, Justin Zekorn, Jared Pasma, Ethan Selbie, Jacob DeRoche, Aiden Donen, Myles McArthur and Sebastian Massuci also contributed to the championship. Tony Labora, Leo Franzoi, Tony Massuci and Anton Marcano coached the team. The four coaches, along with five of the Magical Minds Magic players and 11 other HMBHL novice players, will represent Halton at the upcoming provincial tournament in London. Results from the other divisions of the league will appear in an upcoming edition of The Oakville Beaver. OAK claims overall title at regional meet Oakville Aquatic Club (OAK) swimmers won 51 medals, including 21 gold, to help their team claim the overall championship at the Central Region Long Course Championships recently in Etobicoke. OAK finished the meet with 973 points, well ahead of second-place Mississauga Aquatic Club (779 points) and third-place Newmarket Stingrays Swim Club (690). Sherry Patel, Emily Ramier, Abbey Saunders and Marcelo Gamio all won two gold medals each for OAK. Perrie Armstrong, Meghan Clarke, Alexandra Fabugais-Inaba, Annika Grewal, Carly Jazbec, Kristen Olvet, Julia Sinkovis, Briar Tedesco, Liam Charbonneau, Owen DuncanSnobel, Alexander Karam, Dan Rona and Adam Wood also finished atop the podium. Vienna Holdip, Ali Baki, Sasha Boulton and Grewal won two silver medals apiece. Jessica Kim, Bryanna Samuels, Marcelo Gamio, Michael Kalman, Curtis Li, Ramier, Tedesco and Duncan-Snobel also posted second-place finishes. Earning bronze were Jay Lonsiquot (two), Fabugais-Inaba (two), Taja McLean, Nina Tomic, Connor Wilkins, Wezley Wright, Carter Yeudall, Clarke, Patel, Li and Wood. Gamio won the high-point award for 11-and-under boys. OAK also recently competed at the Central Region Summer Team Championships, finishing third amongst medium-sized teams. The club had many multiplemedal winners, including Julius Raymond (two gold, two silver, two bronze), Matthew Brennan (three silver, three bronze), Alyson Smith (three gold, one bronze), Tamara Slavkovska (three silver, one bronze), Jessica Morris (two gold, one silver), Artem Ivakhnenko (one gold, one silver, one bronze), Jordan Pollock (two gold), Hannah Wasslen (two silver), Guhan Iyer (two silver), Alexandra Price (one silver, one bronze) and Lewis Whitton (one silver, one bronze). Also winning medals were Jocelyn Chow (gold), Nahl Ahmed and Joel Pearson (silver), and Colleen Hayman, Georgia Nelson, Joseph Carin, Samuel Djurfeldt, Alexander Glista, Avery Tronsen and Aidan Tyrrell (bronze).
