The donation took place recently at the Lions Club's Sir James Dunn Dog Guide Training Centre. Thank you for stepping up to the plate This year's Mayor's Invitational Tournament was a tremendous success thanks to our community sponsors and participants. The day-long softball tournament in support of Community Living Oakville and Kerr Street Ministries raised almost $100,000 and was made possible by the generosity of so many people. Thank you to all our participating teams including Carta, Ian Martin, Kruger Products, Longo's, Managerial Design, Oakville Hydro and Scotiabank. Congratulations to the Town of Oakville ­ this year's tournament champions. Special thanks to Michael "Pinball" Clemons for being part of the awards presentations, Councillor Roger Lapworth, the Audioman, for providing excellent sound requirements for the event, and The Oakville Beaver for its support.
