Residents could bring their old computer equipment and have it recycled, browse through green exhibits by local vendors and get involved with the community clean up. A DJ added music to the day and those participating were cheered on by cheerleaders from the Toronto Argonauts and Hamilton Tiger-Cats. People who registered upon arrival received a complimentary t-shirt and a free barbecue by M&M Meat Shops. The event is a partnership between Tim Hortons, the Oakville Chamber of Commerce, Kerr Village BIA, the Home Depot Children's Workshop and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Halton.
