Greystone Golf Club returns as host of the Clublink Jane Rogers Championship, which will be held Aug. 9-15. The tournament was moved to Halton from Mississauga last summer and appears to have found a permanent home at Greystone. Canadian Tour rookies Aaron Goldberg and Adam Hadwin -- Goldberg sits first on the overall money list while Hadwin was the top Canadian at the Canadian Open -- will be among those looking to dethrone 2009 champ Ryan Yip. The 25-year-old Calgary native set the bar awfully high as far as championship drama goes, needing a third playoff hole to finally win last year's four-day, $125,000 tournament. It marked his first victory on the Canadian Tour. Along with Yip, Richard Scott, Andrew Parr, Lee Curry, Stuart Anderson and Andrew Matthews are among the other notable names in this year's 156-player field. Helping launch the careers of Mike Weir and other PGA players such as Steve Stricker and Chris DiMarco, the Canadian Tour event was established in 2007 in honour of the wife of tournament chair Elliott Kerr. Proceeds from this year's event will go to the Colorectal Cancer Association of Canada and Mississauga's Trillium Health Centre Oncology Clinic. The actual tournament begins on the Thursday (practice rounds held earlier in week) and the playoffs are set for the weekend. Daily admission is $10 per adult, while children, students and seniors get in for free, as does anyone with a 2010 Canadian Open ticket. Tickets are available at the gate. A 6,864-yard, par-72 course -- ranked 62nd-best in Canada by SCOREGolf Magazine -- is located on Dublin Line.
