The popular Ghost Trackers show on YTV even used the farmhouse to film two episodes. Built in 1899, the Victorian-style farmhouse was home to the Breckon family until the 1950s, when Henry Breckon's funeral was held in the front parlour. It is now a museum that displays the lifestyle of farm living from a century ago. This month, Oakville residents have their own opportunity to decide if the 1899 farmhouse is haunted. Every Sunday night in August, tours of the house will explore the building's ghostly history and the discoveries of the paranormal teams. Bronte staff members will share their own experiences with the building. Tours begin at 8 and 9 p.m., and will last 45 minutes. While intended to be educational rather than frightening, the program is best suited for children over 7. Meet in parking lot F to join the tour, which is included with regular admission to the park. Reservations are not required, but participants should be capable of 45 minutes of walking and standing. The building cannot accommodate wheelchairs or strollers.
