THE FLESHERTON ADVANCE Wednesday, December 18, 1935 «)â- . 'I; r- Si,; «*" â- - â-  "* f II ; kv. PRICEVILLE FEVERSHAM Santa Claus' visit to Durham was instrumental in taking many from here to see the bij? procession of younp: humanity, manv hundi'eda pf them. We learn that the contest- ants in the various classes were so many that another Saturday has to be had to eive all an opportunity to comnete, Mr. Angus McCormick with his pipes and Miss Anna McVicar, a pretty, clever Scotch dancer were en- e:aeed for the occasion by the town. The Sacrament of the Lord's Supper was held in St. Columba United Church on Sunday, a goodly number partook of the elements, notwith- standing the prevailinsr storm of the day. Another fine Calander is being giv- en out this year by Mr. McVicar's firm, a beautiful scene of a lake in the background with a cosy invitingly lighted house in the front. The store is nicely decorated for the Christmas season, with goods tidely displayed and handsome Nvinsome willing waiters on hand to show goods and satisfy the customers. This family has three members going to high school in your town. Lots of water in the well, a pump with hose attachment is planned, w» hear, to sprinkle the surface when Jack Frost comes along, to visit our new rink, somewhat dilatory, but just you wait. Miss Alma McLean was home on a! forced visit through sickness, return- ed to the hospital on Thursday of last week in Toronto, for further diag- nosis or treatment. We wish the •best to this estimable young ladv, who was making good progress as a nurse there. The matrimonial market is in a flourishing state in and around here.
