Richardson over the week end Eleanor visited recently with friends at Ballinafad. Mrs. Royden McDonald left Mon- day to return to her home at Gold Pines, Northern Ontario, after holi daying for the past two months with district relatives. Pte. Laurie Smith of the R.C.A.S. C., spent the week end with his fam ily in town. Last week we had the name of Mrs. Laurie Betts as moving to town, in place of Mrs. Smith. Mrs. Sam Croft has returned home after spending the past six weeks at Severn Bridge. Her brother, Mr. Holley returned with her to visit for a couple of weeks. A presentation was made to Mr. and Mrs. Garnet Teeter, recent groom and bride in the Fraternal Friday evening when a lovely sot of dishes was given them with best wishes of nv.ny friends. Sept. 17 when nearly forty ladies met at thp home of Mrs. James Oliver. The W. A. under the capable leadership of Mrs. Wm. Meads, paid tribute to the boys of the Ah Force. "My Friend has joined Air Force", and "The Unknown Soldiir" were read by the president. Miss M Brown read- "A Housewife Salutes n Flier." The Air Force Anthem was sung and Rev. Bellgmith offered special prayer. Salem Society pre- sented musical numbers and humor ous readings. Mrs. Ritchie presided over the W. M.S. meeting and Mrs. A. Muir took charge of the worship period.
