Some excitement occurred at the curling rink Thursday evening last at about 11 p.m., when the pressure suddenly went from the hose as J 0. Dargavel, president of the Club was busy flooding the ice. Investiga- tion showed that the pump house at the river was a mass of flames. It is thought that the back-fire from the jrnsoline engine ignited the frame building. As the pump house was isolated there was no danger during the fire, which was over in a few minutes.
