- Suicide
We learn that Alex. Weir, who attempted to cut his throat near Acton, a few weeks ago, managed to hang himself in Milton jail last Friday. He fastened one end of the belt which he wore round his body, in some way to the hinge of his cell door, and the other end around his neck, and thus swung himself off. He was found in the morning quite dead. This third attempt at suicide proved effectual. - Featured Link
