SILVER WEDDING - One of those happy events, which we are always pleased to chronicle, and which every married couple are not permitted to enjoy, took place on Saturday last, 14th inst. We refer to the celebration of the twenty fifth anniversary of the marriage of Mr. and Mrs. Eli Snyder, of this village. The guests included members of the family, and a large number of friends and acquaintances, some from a distance. The congratulations and good wishes bestowed upon the happy pair, on the arrival of the guests, were numerous. A rich and abundant repast was partaken of at 1:30 p.m., after which the afternoon was spent in pleasant conversation, music and singing, and amusements of various kinds. The afternoon passed very enjoyably with all. The presents to the "bridal pair" were numerous, all being servicable and appropriate to the occasion. We trust Mr. and Mrs. Snyder will be spared to enjoy their golden wedding.
