- Sudden Death
A very sudden death occurred in our midst on Sunday afternoon. Mr. James Bell, a resident of this village, was taken ill on Friday with very severe cramps in the bowels, which ultimately resulted in inflammation. Everything that possibly could be done to relieve him was done, but with no avail, and he passed away about five o'clock on Sunday afternoon, having endured great suffering during the whole time. A wife and very large family are left to mourn the loss of a husband and father. The sympathy of the community is extended to the bereaved family. The funeral took place on Tuesday afternoon and was largely attended. - Featured Link
