It is with heartfelt sympathy for the bereaved that we announce to the friends in the vicinity of Mr. Richard McNight, formerly of Norwich, now of Boyne River, Manitoba, the death of his eldest son, on 22nd July last. He was ill only a week, with conjestion of the lungs, and all that medical aid and constant attention of friends could do, was done without avail. He suffered very little pain, and the disease was only visible by a shortness of breath and a slight fever. He was about twenty-two years of age; and was married last spring just before he, with his father's family, removed to Manitoba. His death is a heavy blow to the young wife, but she bears it with great fortitude and resignation. We can assure Mr. McNight and family that their friends in this locality extend their heart-felt sympathy in the sad affliction that has befallen them. The bereavement is certainly a heavy one, and must be poignantly felt by all the family, away off among strangers where every friend is valued with the deepest affection, and where every member of a home seems a necessary link to each others happiness. The FREE PRESS condoles with Mr. McKnight and his family, and trust they may become reconciled to the sad circumstance which they so unexpectedly have been called upon to bear. - Featured Link
