Death of an old Nassagaweya Settler.
There was no better known or more highly respected resident of Nassagaweya, outside the ranks of public life, than Jeremiah Smith, who died on the 27th ultimo. Mr. Smith had been ailing for some time and his death was not unexpected. He was a resident of the township for many years. He occupied the position of elder in the Presbyterian church, but would never accept any municipal office or other public position.
