Sudden Death.
The sudden death of Mr. Henry Sayers Sr., occurred at the residence of his son James in Nassagaweya, early on Sunday morning. Mr. Sayers went to bed apparently in good health the night before, but about midnight his son heard him getting up and found him to be quite sick. He left him for a moment to prepare some remdy but the old gentleman expired shortly after his return to the bedside. Mr. Sayers was born in 1804 and was consequently in his eighty-sixth year. He came to Canada in 1835, was in Hamilton for a short time and then came to Acton. He afterward removed to the vicinity of Owen Sound, but returned about seven years ago and has since made his home with his son, Mr. Peter Sayers, proprietor of Nassagaweya Mills. The last two or three weeks he spent in visiting his sons, and had spent a few days with each and intended to return home in a day or so. His sons, Peter, Henry, William, James and Maurice all reside in this vicinity and each did everything in their power to render the declining years of their aged parent full of marked peace and comfort.
