Many persons will regret to hear of the death last Friday of Rev. Prof. John W. Tait, of Tacoma, Washington, a gentleman widely known as an educator and esteemed as a friend. He was for many years a minister of the Presbyterian Church, and was well known in this county. Back in the seventies Mr. Tait was principal of the Georgetown Academy and it was during his term that it enjoyed its palmiest days.
