James McDonald, Postmaster at
Crieff, Perished Last Week
in the Storm.
HESPLER, Feb. 19. - James McDonald, postmaster of Crieff, Township of Puslinch, was in Hespler on Monday of last week. He had supper at the house of Malcolm McLelland and left for home between 7 and 8 o'clock on the evening of that day. He was walking and was last seen a short distance from the village going towards Puslinch. Nothing was heard of him and searching parties were organized and kept up the search until yesterday afternoon when their efforts were successful. The body was found in a field about a mile west of his home. It was almost completely covered with snow, only one of his heels being visible. He had walked nearly eight miles, and had doubtless become exhausted at the spot where his body was found. - Featured Link
