THE FOURTH VICTIM.
William Watson, Ridgetown, a Native
of Acton, Succumbs to
His injuries.

RIDGETOWN, April 12. - The fourth victim of the stave mill explosion on the 6th instant was claimed at ten o'clock on Saturday night, when Mr. Wm. J. Watson, one of the firm, breathed his last. He took a turn for the worse in the morning, and Dr. Holmes, of Chatham, was sent for in consultation, but only arrived to hear of his death, which was directly caused by pneumonia. Friends of deceased had sanguine hopes of his ultimate recovery, and the sad news of his death only stirred up painful remembrances of Monday's horror. He was 35 years of age, and a widow and one child survive him.
Wm. Newcombe, another of the injured, is still unimproved, and doubts are entertained of his recovery.
