A Devoted Father's Demise.
After one week's illness from congestion of the lungs Mr. Wm. Kelly, of Ingersoll, father of Mrs. H. Ramshaw, Acton, departed this life. Mr. Kelly was for some years a resident of Acton. He removed to Erin about eleven years ago, thence to Uxbridge, and last year to Ingersoll. He was a kind husband and one of the children said, while taking a farewell look upon his face before the casket was finally closed on Monday, "He was such a good father to us." Mr. Kelly was for over forty years a member of the Methodist Church, and during late years was most active in his connection therewith. The remains were brought from Ingersoll Monday morning and the funeral took place from the home of Mr. H. Ramshaw, Bower Avenue, to Fairview cemetery in the afternoon. The following friends from a distance were present: The three sons, Mr. Eber Kelly, Lakefield, and Edward and Sidney, Ingersoll, Mrs. Edw. Little, Snellgrove, Mrs. James Griffin, Edmonton, Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Kelly, Norval, Miss Jessie and Mr. Thos. Little, Cheltenham and Mrs. Cook, Malton. The sadness of the bereavement is intensified by the fact that Mrs. Kelly is also seriously ill and her condition is regarded with much anxiety.
