Mr. J. G. Snell, of Snellgrove, the
Well-known Stockman, Dead.
Mr. Joseph G. Snell, of Snellgrove, who fell a distance of 28 feet in his barn on Saturday, 6th inst., died from his injuries at 5 o'clock last Thursday morning. Dr. Sweetnam, of Toronto, was to have performed an operation, but death relieved him of that duty. Mr. Snell was 51 years of age. He was a very highly respected farmer, and dealt largely in fancy stock, for which he had a continental reputation. He was a Liberal in politics, and took an active part in all the elections in the county. In religion he was an ardent supporter of the Methodist Church. He leaves a wife but no family. A considerable quantity of fancy cattle were on their way from England for Mr. Snell when he died. - Featured Link
