Death of Mrs. Joseph McClure.
The first death in the home of Joseph McClure, Esq., occurred on Tuesday, when the mother, beloved by all, was called away. For many weary months Mrs. McClure had been a great sufferer. Loving hands ministered to her wants but her sufferings continued. About seven years ago Mrs. McClure took a trip to the Old Country for her health and was much benefitted, but several years ago she was afflicted with spinal trouble, and went to the General Hospital, Toronto, a year ago, for treatment. She has been an invalid ever since but bore all her sufferings with Christian patience. Mrs. McClure was born in Glen Arm, County Antrim, Ireland, in 1835; came to Canada in 1855, and was united in marriage with Mr. McClure on the 28th December, 1864. Until 16 years ago the family resided near Meadowvale, in Peel County. Since that time they have been esteemed residents here. The husband, two sons and three daughters mourn the loss of a devoted wife and mother. Mrs. McClure was a member of the Knox Church and while in health was a regular attendant and worker. The funeral will take place from the residence this afternoon at 2.30 o'clock.
