Death of Mr. Morley Bryers.
The sad news reached Acton on Tuesday of the death of Mr. Morely Bryers, youngest son of Rev. Wm. Bryers, at his home in St. Paul, Minn., after a very brief illness from pneumonia. The home here is overwhelmed with grief at the sad event, it being the first death in the family. Mr. Bryers spent two years of his boyhood days in Acton, removing hence with his father at the conclusion of his pastorate sixteen years ago. During the family's residence here the past seven years he has been an occasional visitor here and had numerous friends. He was in his thirty-first year and occupied a lucrative position in the head offices of the Northern Pacific Railway at St. Paul, as private secretary to the President, Mr. C. S. Mellen. He was a manly man and a Christian. He leaves a young wife and a little baby daughter of nine months. Mr. Fred Bryers, of Montreal, has gone to St. Paul and will return with the remains to Acton possibly Saturday evening. Interment will take place on Monday at Napanee. General sympathy is felt for the family in this sudden affliction.
