So many were disappointed last Tuesday in being unable to attend the funeral of the late Peter Stewart, owing to the storm, that only a persevering few remained when the corpse arrived, two hours later than looked for. Mr. Stewart had spent over forty years of his life here, and was noted for his humble earnest piety and beautiful christian character. He was a liberal supporter to the cause of Christ.
