Yesterday afternoon there was laid to rest in the cemetery here one of the first-born residents of this vicinity in the person of Mr. Jeremiah Kentner, who died on Monday morning after a lingering illness. Mr. Kentner was a native of this vicinity, having as his birthplace lot 2, Con. 7, Erin, eighty years ago the coming fall. His wife, Jane Patterson, is also a native, and was born across the concession from the present family homestead. She survives him, and the couple were the parents of ten children, four sons, and six daughters. Of these Messrs. Albert, of Esquesing, and Alva, of Erin, - twins - survive, as also three daughters, Mrs. Robert Campbell, Southampton; Mrs. Jos. Allan, and Miss Alice.
