DEATH OF SQUIRE STRANGE.
One of Rockwood's Pioneer Resi-
dents Died Last Friday.

Henry Strange, Esq., of Rockwood, familiarly known for half a century as "Squire Strange," died last Friday morning, after an illness of two weeks, at the age of 91 years.
He was one of the pioneers of Eramosa. His father owning practically the whole property where the village of Rockwood now stands. He had lived in that village for sixty-six years. He was a staunch Reformer, and a member of the Church of England. He is survived by a widow, two sons and four daughters, viz., Charles and Miss Mary, at home; Edward, in Manitoba; Mrs. Morton and Mrs. Johnston, Toronto, and Mrs. Cummer, in Alberta.
The funeral held in Rockwood on Sunday afternoon was very largely attended. The service was conducted by Rev. M. Wilson, M.A., rector of St. John's Church. The pall bearers were Hugh Black, T. Lundy, John Farries, Robt. Pasmore, John Jolliffe, and John Black.
