Death of John Smith, Brampton.
John Smith, ex-M.P.P., Brampton, died last Friday morning after suffering for three days with a severe attack of pneumonia. Mr. Smith who was the well-known auctioneer, conducted a sale on Monday, but was compelled to return home early and gradually grew worse. He was born in Ayrshire, Scotland, seventy-eight years ago, and came to Canada when quite young. He was a man of magnificent physique and rarely suffered a day's illness. He was representative for Peel in the Provincial Legislature for seventeen years.
