- DEATH OF SHERIFF BRODDY
Was Forty-five Years the Sheriff of
Peel County
The oldest sheriff in Ontario died at Brampton on Sunday in his 83rd year. He was Mr. Robert Broddy, one of the best known and most respected residents of the town. He had been sheriff of the County of Peel for 45 years, and was the only surviving appointee of the late Sir John A. Macdonald.
He was born and reared in the county and was a member of Grace Methodist Church in Brampton of over fifty years standing. He had a large number of intimate friends all over the province, prominent among them being the late Rev. Dr. Potts.
One daughter survives, Mrs. T. W. Duggan, of Brampton. - Featured Link
