ROCKWOOD
The death of John Cummins, one of the best known farmers of this vicinity occurred on Sunday morning at his residence "The Beaches."
Mr. Cummins was in his usual robust health when he arose quite early that morning, but shortly after 6.30 o'clock he was seized with a fainting spell and expired before any one could reach him.
The deceased was a well-to-do farmer of the township of Eramosa, and was respected by all who knew him. He was well up in years, but had not complained of feeling ill for some time past.
He leaves besides his wife, one son, John, at home, and three daughters, Mrs. Macdonnell, of Toronto, and Margaret and Kathleen, at home. Besides his own family he has two brothers, Michael, who lived with him, and Daniel, at Mount Forest, also one sister.
