Mrs. Arthur Hilts, after a long and tedious and at times painful illness, entered into rest on Tuesday the 5th. Deceased was of noble birth and training. She was of a kind disposition and endeared herself to all who made her acquaintance. No duty she would perform was a task, no work was poorly performed by her hands. Deceased was a sincere member of the Methodist Church here, and in her long connection was a monument to the truth and saving power of the gospel. The funeral took place on Friday afternoon. An appropriate service was conducted by Rev. G. T. Watts, formerly pastor on this circuit, assisted by Rev. Dr. McArthur and Rev. P. W. Currie. The sympathy of the whole community is extended to the family in this their hour of deep trial. - Featured Link
