- Burned to Death at Guelph
Mrs. Sarah Myles, mother-in-law of John Hesson, of the Victoria Hotel, was fatally burned on Monday. Mrs. Myles had gone to her room and went to light the coal-oil stove. The upper part failed to fasten properly and toppled over. Mrs. Myles reached over to put it up again and her nightdress caught fire. When the door was broken open Mrs. Myles was lying on the floor with her clothes a mass of flames and her body in a terribly burned condition. She died shortly afterwards. - Featured Link
