Albert(on right) was my father. His last name is hard to see on the label but the correct spelling is "Beer". He often talked about his time on the HMCS Oakville. In the early 1950's he was instrumental in naming the new school across from our home "Corvette Public School" Our school crest was a ship's wheel.
