THOMAS BRUNT, JR.
Sad news reached town last week in the announcement of the death of Thomas Brunt, Jr., Toronto, at the General Hospital, after an operation for appendicitis, on Wednesday, 13th October. He was the son of the late Thomas Brunt, and was born in Acton 46 years ago. He was married in 1890 to Florence Gardner, who lived here for a number of years. After residing here until about ten or twelve years ago, Mr. Brunt and family removed to Toronto where he occupied ever since a responsible position with the C.P.R. Mr. Brunt was a manly man, he early in life became a Christian and his life was consistent. He was a member of the Methodist Church here and a teacher in the Sunday School. Of late years he felt that he could do more effective work in the Salvation Army and united with them. The funeral on Saturday was conducted by Major McAmmond of the Army and was largely attended. The floral tributes were numerous and included a handsome wreath from the Sons of Scotland, Acton, of which he was a member. Interment was made at St. John's Cemetery, Norway, by motor fuenral. Mrs. Brunt and their four children, Minnie,Charlie, George and Eva survive. - Featured Link
