OBITUARY
HIRAM H. WORDEN
............months of ill health Hiram .....died at his home, 21 Powell ......Guelph, on Tuesday. The funeral .....held in Acton this afternoon upon ......of the 3.30 train from Guelph. The ....will proceed to the Methodist Church for a short service, after which interment will be made in the family plot at Fairview Cemetery.
Hiram Worden was a son of the late Freeman Worden, of Acton, and lived most of his life here. He married Miss Hannah Glover, of Erin. The only child, Lieut Ernest [sic]Warren, B.A., who was a teacher in the Guelph Collegiate Institute, is at the front. Mr. Worden was a man who made many friends. He enjoyed general esteem and will be greatly missed. He moved to Guelph several years ago, but always had a keen love for the old home town and was frequently seen in Acton. He was a member of the Methodist Church, and a member of Acton Lodge I.O.O.F. which order will have charge of the funeral. Much sympathy is felt here for Mrs. Worden, whose sense of loss is the more keen because of the absence at the battle front of her greatly loved soldier son.
