OBITUARY
MRS. DAVID WILLIAMSON, Guelph
The funeral of Eliza Mann, wife of David Williamson, Guelph, was held to Fairview Cemetery, Acton, last Thursday afternoon. After a paralytic stroke fourteen months ago, which rendered her quite helpless, Mrs. Williamson was moved to the hospital. Notwithstanding her helplessness she was very bright and cheerful. The extreme heat of the first of the month affected her seriously, however, and she gradually sank and passed quietly away on Tuesday, 13th inst. She was born in the Parish of Lagan, Scotland, 75 years ago and came to Canada in 1870. Later she was united in marriage in Toronto to Mr. David Williamson, and the couple, after living in Acton for a short time, removed to Guelph. Mrs. Williamson was an esteemed resident of that city for 30 years, and her passing removes a loving wife and mother, and a kind friend to all who knew her. She is survived by her husband, one daughter, Jessie at home, and one son, Sapper W. A. Williamson, in France with the Canadian engineers. She was a devoted member of Knox Church, Guelph. Rev. G. Carter and Rev. Amos Tovell conducted the funeral service at Guelph, and Rev. J. C. Wilson, B.A., at Acton. The pall bearers here were Messrs. A. T. Mann, James Mann, John Mann, John Moffat, Peter McIsaac and John McGregor.
