- Originally with the Lorne Scots (PD&H Regt). Transferred to the Toronto Scottish Regiment in 1940. Staff Captain, 3 Canadian Armoured Brigade, 1941-1943. Attached to the 21 Tank Brigade, 1st British Army in North Africa, 1943. Brigade Major, 5 Canadian Infantry Brigade. Served in Holland and Germany until 1946.
