John Caird was a Flight Lieutenant in the Royal Air Force, 1942-1947 and was sometimes jointly attached to the Royal Canadian Air Force. John moved to Canada in 1957, and to Oakville in 1961. The photo may have been taken in Burma, where John Caird was served with 159 Squadron.
