Police said the incident took place around 1 a.m. when the Oakville man was cut off from service and asked to leave the bar on Marlborough Court, near Trafalgar Road. Police say the incident happened after the intoxi- cated victim, who had already been kicked out of the bar earlier in the evening, re-entered the establishment and started to become aggressive with the staff. When staff members tried to get him out of the bar, an altercation occurred and the man was knocked unconscious. The man suffered a serious head injury and was taken to a Hamilton hospital, where he under- went surgery early Saturday to relieve pres- sure that was building on his brain. Police say hes expected to recover. According to Halton Regional Police Service Sgt. Brian Carr, police are not charging the bouncer, a 26-year-old Burlington man, involved in the alter- cation. The police investigation continues. with files from Torstar News Service Police say bouncer at bar is not facing charges
