Marshall Neilson began compiling his "Index for births, marriages and deaths" from "The Acton Free Press", "The Georgetown Herald" and "The Canadian Champion" in 1986. This monumental work has been of immense benefit to genealogists locally and far afield as it is available on Halton's Historical and Newspaper Records web page.
