When Ontarios Liberal government finally announced that the power plant would not be built there, or anywhere else in Oakville, C4CA celebrated by inviting Oakville residents to join its members for an evening of food, music and thanks at the Chisholm Education Centre on Cornwall Road, which is just a few hundred metres from the proposed power plant site. From top left, C4CA's Aiden Tracey thanks Nancy Robertson for all her efforts in fighting the Oakville power plant. Bettie MacKenzie (left) dances with "Tiny" from the Stilt Guys. Cupcakes with an edible message are all the rage these days. Marisa Della Maestra, 7, has a butterfly painted on her face. Sam Carfrae gets a C4CA button on her hoodie from Chris Hardy (right). C4CA payed homage to all its sponsors, volunteers and friends in the Recognition Tent. Oakville MPP Kevin Flynn turned out to enjoy the festivities.
