The demonstration will take place from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. with a casual barbecue in the early after- noon, weather permitting. The Wai Nui Outrigger Canoe club is located under the Rebecca Street bridge in downtown Oakville on 16 Mile Creek. Parking is avail- able off Water Street. The club looks forward to the opportunity to share the love of the water and sport with others. Club members and visitors will be pad- dling loops in the six-man outrigger canoe. There will also be an opportuni- ty to try their stand-up paddle boards and small boats as well. Stand-up paddle boards (SUP) are new to eastern Canada. SUP it is a fun and fast-growing sport in the Pacific Rim countries. Wai Nui O Kanaka is the largest outrigger canoe club in eastern Canada and the club always wel- come new paddlers.
