Halton District School Board senior students helped Grade 9 students transition to the new world of high school in a program called Link Crew. Virtually all of the public school board high schools offered the fun, interactive program. Link Crew involved Grade 11 and 12 students called Link Leaders who assist edGrade 9s in making a smoother, gentler and less intimidating transition to high school. During the morning on the first day of school, Grade 9s participated in interactive games, songs and other fun activities with the older students. Grade 12 student Calvin Leyon explains an activity during the event; Grade 9 student Cindy Wei takes part in a name game; and, Grade 9 student Jack Clayton looks to Leyon for guidance in a team building lava game.
