The event will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Sir John Colborne Recreation Centre for Seniors locat- ed at 1565 Old Lakeshore Road (Third Line/Lakeshore Road). Organized by Oakvilles Seniors Advisory Committee, the fair will educate seniors about independent living and the many services that are available to those who are aging as they continue to live independently. More than 40 exhibitors and ven- dors will be on site with information about home support programs, transportation services and opportu- nities to enhance personal health and safety. Experts representing government services, service agencies and local businesses will also be on hand to answer questions. This information fair is a one-stop shop where people can walk around, pick up brochures and speak face-to-face with representatives from vari- ous agencies, said Nina deVaal, the Towns direc- tor of Recreation and Culture. Whether youre a sen- ior, or a friend or family of a senior, this fair promises to have the most current information available.
