This place hasso many things that will amaze and shock you. From the history, to beautiful and amazing things you most likely will not see everyday. From the pyramids, to the city of Cairo Egypt. In Cairo the people are very warm and friendly, but the traffic is heavy. It barely moves. Its very funny, but irritating at the same time. In Cairo there is a gold market that has been there for hundreds of years. Its called Khanel-khalili. Everyone goes to the market in Egypt because its such a wonderful place. Not far from Cairo are the pyramids. Its amazing when youre looking up at the pyramids and thinking, Whoa! because they are really incredible, to look up and see something that was built thousands of years ago and is still standing. The Nile is where and why Egypt began. The river is extremely long, wide, and it used to flood until the Nasser Dam was built. Touring with the Nile cruise is just beautiful. You see the mountains and the palm trees while sailing along the river bank and see- ing all the temples, its like youre on an incredible ancient Egyptian journey. The tour guides definitely know their Egyptology, they are very knowledgeable and give you a lot of information. The Luxor Museum has the famous pharaohs such as, King Tut, Nefertiti, Queen Hatshepsut all the famous pharaohs. There are also a handful of mummies in the Cairo Museum, which is packed with famous artifacts from King Tut, pre-Egyptian his- tory, coffins and is visited by lots of people. The cleanest sea in Egypt is called the Red Sea. Its very pure and salty. When you go snorkeling in the Red Sea it is fabulous and fun. The fish are all around you and you see all kinds of different, colourful fish and the coral reef. If you take a glass-bot- tomed boat you see every- thing (except the sharks). Hurghada is a place on the Red Sea (theres also Sharm-el-Sheikh, too) and it was very relaxing and calm- ing where I stayed. I wind surfed for the first time and it was so much fun. You have to really concen- Egypt visit an exciting experience, even the camel ride trate and focus on what youre doing because if you dont, youll fall and splash. During our tour we visit- ed the Valley of the Kings, which is fabulous. The walls are decorated with hiero- glyphics and with mysteri- ous stories that youll won- der about. Hieroglyphics tell a story about someones life or about a particular queen or pharaoh. There are colours all along the walls and ceiling, and they are natural colours. Black was made from coal and they used different sub- stances for different colours. Everything about my Egyptian experience was amazing. The food was fabu- lous. I was introduced to Egyptian foods and I loved everything I ate. The scariest thing for me was probably getting on a camel; its terri- fying. When you get on, you have this little knob to hold on to and the camel throws you back and it feels like youre going to fall right off. I screamed and loudly.
