The body, which was found floating in the water in the area of Navy and Front streets at around 10:30 a.m., was taken by local boaters to the Oakville Harbour pier where it was removed from the water and placed in a waiting ambulance. The man was taken to Oakville-Trafalgar Memorial Hospital (OTMH) where he was pronounced dead. At this time police said they do not know how the man came to be in the water, but foul play is not sus- pected. While police would not reveal the mans name they said he is not Victor George Ruppell, 74, an Oakville boater who went missing last month. Ruppells partially submerged 42-foot-yacht was discovered in the middle of Lake Ontario on Sept. 9. A search of Ruppells boat and of Lake Ontario found nothing. Body pulled from Lake Ontario MICHAEL IVANIN / SPECIAL TO THE BEAVER DROWNING: The body of a man found floating in Lake Ontario on Monday was placed in an ambulance on Oakville Harbour pier. Halton police are looking for five suspects after a 16-year-old Oakville boy was robbed at knifepoint in the area of Neyagawa Boulevard and River Glen Boulevard Friday night. Police said the boy was walking home along Neyagawa Boulevard when five men stopped him and asked what he was carrying in his knapsack. When the boy replied, he saw that one of the men had a knife in his hand, pointing in his direction. Police said the boy handed over the contents of his knapsack and was also forced to hand over an undis- closed amount of cash. The boy was not injured during the robbery. The man with the knife is described as being between 18 and 20 years old and 5-foot-9 to 5-foot-10 in height. He wore a black hooded sweat- shirt and black pants. The Halton Regional Police Service is investigating this incident.
