Continued from page 13 One of nine teams seven from Georgetown and two from Acton in the mosquito hardball division, Acton Chudleighs placed third overall for the 2006 season. The team started strong and continued to gain strength till the end of the season last Saturday. Medals and trophies were awarded on Saturday, August 19 during the Day of Champs at the Georgetown Fairgrounds where the Acton team ended the season with another fine game. Savannah Muir was selected as MVP for the game. Most Valuable Player for the season was David Bickers. Brett McIntyre was picked as the Most Sportsmanlike Player while Joey Hepburn was selected as the Most Improved Player. Coaches Paul Campbell and Mike Over- land were pleased with the teams play over the season. Well done, they applauded. Third overall in League BLASTBALL August 8 Hawks Eric Baker had a great hit for his grandparents to see! Sydney Furzer made a fan- tastic catch. Hunter Thibeault made a fabulous throw! August 15 Hawks Analise Cuesta hit a home run! Autumn Klimsiak made a really good throw. Grace Furzer had a terrific catch. GRASSHOPPER August 17 Dennys Insurance (7) vs TD Canada Trust (8) Outstanding players for Dennys Insurance: Lucas Scully had an ex- cellent offensive game. He had a few great hits and one big double that scored a run. He also scored twice. Jack Wilcox had a strong game by fielding the ball quickly and made some good hits to get on base every at bat. Joey Reid continued to impress by making two outs at first and another one at second. He also was very strong at bat bringing in three RBIs. Av- ery Sherman made a strong contribution by making two outs at third and scoring all three times she batted.
