While the province has designated Halton Hills and Acton as an under-serviced area for family physicians, there currently is no addi- tional office space for another doctor at the Acton Medical Centre. To date, no one has ex- pressed any serious interest in opening a medical office in the vacant space beside Shoppers Drug Mart. The plaza owner agreed not to rent the space for two years with one year to go in order to have it available if a new doctor wanted to open a practice in Acton.
