Theft occurred on Com- merce Court in Acton between August 11 and August 20 when a V.I.N. plate from a Hitachi EX120 excavator was taken from the equipment at D&V Plastics. IMPAIRED DRIVER On Aug .26 at 10:15 p.m. a 47 year-old Cobblehill Road man was stopped after police observed erratic driving. The man was charged with im- paired and operating a motor vehicle with over 80 mg. SENSELESS CRIME Between Aug. 18 and 25, decorative solar lights were taken from a grave at Fair- view Cemetery. Although the lights were valued at only $30, the theft was trouble- some for the family. ATTEMPTED B&E Attempts were again made to break into the offices of the New Tanner at 373 Queen Street East on the weekend. This time, the front door lock was vandalized. Damage is estimated at $300. CRIME COMING CLEAN Someone entered the laun- dry room at 196 Churchill Road South apartments be- tween 8:30am and 10 a.m. on Friday Aug. 24 and tried to obtain money from the laundry machines. No money was taken; however, damage was done to the mechanism of a Maytag washer. DUMPSTER FIRES Acton firefighters respond- ed to a dumpster fire at 5:32 p.m. on Regional Road 25 (Hwy 25) on Friday, Aug 24. Careless disposal of hot debris was blamed for the blazed which the crew extinguished. Crews from Acton also extin- guished a garbage container fire at Sir Donald Mann Park on Mowbray Place the next day, Saturday Aug. 25 just before midnight.:40pm also brought firefighters out to extinguished the fire.
