I see there is a free swim on Tuesday, Oct. 16 from 9 10 a.m., at the Acton Pool for anyone 55+. Tickets will be on sale shortly. One game that isnt too energetic but everyone enjoys is Carpet Bowling, and the season is underway again this fall. They start at 1 p.m. Water colour classes restart on Wednesday, Oct. 10. There will be a sign-up sheet if you are interested. Maria Sallay is the well-qualified teacher and I am sure you have all seen samples of her beautiful pictures around town. The Scrap Booking and Memories presentation wasnt very well attended, which is a shame as everyone who was here learned a few new tricks and skills. Scrap book- ing starts again on Monday, Oct. 15 at 6:45 p.m. and will run once a month if there is enough interest. If you are interested just show up with your pictures. In order to gather public input, and increase commu- nity awareness of the Towns Green Plan Task Force, the Town has added a new link to its website the Green Plan link. Adding the Green Plan to the Towns website is an excellent way to gather feedback from the citizens of our Town, said Mayor Rick Bonnette. The Green Plan was launched by the mayor in June of this year. Information regarding the Towns Green Plan Project as well as Halton Hills environmental initiatives can be found at: http://www. haltonhills.ca/greenplan The Green Plan link also provides an opportunity for anyone to provide the Task Force with their green ideas.
