Campaign Chair Chris Cooke, announced the 2007 campaign goal of $275,000. This is a very realistic and achievable goal for the com- munity of Halton Hills, said Cooke. And with the help of area residents and local busi- nesses, we will meet or surpass our goal for 2007. Currently, 17 local agencies, offering programs and services to children, youth, adults, fami- lies, seniors and people with disabilities, are funded by United Way of Halton Hills. In a few weeks, each resident of Halton Hills will receive a United Way brochure in the mail. The brochure will include a donation form and envelope all in one. All that residents have to do is make their donation, fold back the pledge form, tape it shut and mail it in. This year, Prosperity One is offering to take donation cheques from residents in Acton and Georgetown for the United Way of Halton Hills campaign. Residents can simply drop off their donation cheque at either branch in Halton Hills, until the end of November, rather than sending it in the mail. Janet Foster, executive direc- tor of United Way of Halton Hills, reminds people who work outside of Halton Hills that they can direct their Un- tied Way payroll designation, through their workplace to come back to their local United Way. Residents are urged to give where you live. All money raised in Halton Hills stays in Halton Hills. More information on starting up a workplace campaign can be obtained by contacting Janet at the United Way offi ce.
