Superior Glove expands again... Crime Stoppers of Halton officially launched Crime Stoppers Month at a news conference on Monday, Jan. 7, 2008 in the Halton Room of the Holiday Inn, Burlington. Speakers included Gary Carr, the chair of Halton Region, Audrey Draaisma, the chair of Haltons Crime Stoppers program, Chief Gary Crowell of the Halton Regional Police Service and Gary Murphy, president of Crime Stoppers International, the umbrella group overseeing the more than 1,200 Crime Stoppers program around the world. January was endorsed as Crime Stoppers Month in 1986 at the annual Crime Stoppers International conference held that year in Edmonton, Al- berta and since that time has been celebrated on an annual basis to highlight the success of the various Crime Stoppers programs worldwide.
