To the Editor, Haltons historic Scotch Block, tucked in the south west of the former Esquesing Township since 1820 and now shared by Halton Hills and Milton, has fascinating tales to tell. In trying to assemble the many facets, to preserve them for future generations, the help of all is invited. Were looking for early letters of the first settlers, details of school construction, changes affecting the lumbering and agriculture of the area, social events, photographs of common activities or groups and stories and photos of the people over the generations. Boston Church, on the Third Line, is at the heart of the Scotch Block. We invite anyone who has information, early letters or photos they will loan to contact us there on Saturday October 4 between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. If this is not possible feel free to contact us by phone 905- 878-6061 so we can arrange to meet. We want to be able to tell as much as possible in a book about The Block and your help is essential now. Jim Dills and Gloria Brown, Milton Historical Society Main St. North.
